A 28-year-old man linked to a killing in Patillas has been arrested in Pennsylvania and is in custody in New Jersey whilst extradition to the island is processed.

Keimy Colón Medina, 28, was arrested in Philadelphia in connection with a murder committed in the municipality of Patillas, in south-east Puerto Rico. The arrest took place on Tuesday, 7 July, according to Telemundo 62.
The crime occurred on 28 January in Patillas. Puerto Rican authorities linked Colón Medina to the fatal shooting. Following his capture in United States territory, the man was held in Burlington County Correctional Centre, located in the state of New Jersey.
The extradition process to Puerto Rico is underway so that the suspect can face charges related to the homicide.
