Suspect Arrested in Serial Burglaries at Homes in Mountainous Region of Puerto Rico
Law enforcement agents apprehended an individual connected with a series of burglaries at residences in the mountainous region of Puerto Rico, reported Telemundo Puerto Rico.
The incidents under investigation date from 31 March of the previous year. In a judicial hearing, a magistrate found cause for arrest against the detainee and imposed bail of $800,000. The accused was unable to meet the bail condition and remains in custody.
Investigators estimate the total value of goods stolen amounts to $1,926. Authorities also noted that some of the affected properties suffered damage during the burglaries.
Officials emphasised that the investigation remains open because they have not yet located a second subject who, they believe, participated in the crimes. Detectives are urging anyone with information about the whereabouts of the fugitive to contact police.
