Federal convict shot dead in Ponce; two wounded in pizzeria car park

A man was shot dead in the early hours of Saturday in the car park of Slice Pizza, located on Avenida Eugenio María de Hostos in Ponce, according to confirmation from the Puerto Rico Police, according to elnuevodia.com.
A call to the 9-1-1 Emergency System alerted officers, who upon arriving at the scene found the lifeless body on the pavement. The victim was identified as Víctor Joaquín Rodríguez León, 42, a resident of Ponce, who had multiple gunshot wounds that caused his death at the scene.
Rodríguez León had a criminal record and had completed federal probation for violations of the Firearms Act and controlled substances laws.
In the same incident, two men aged 26 and 49, both residents of Ponce, were shot and wounded. They were taken to different hospitals in the area and their condition was described as stable.
Officer Joseph Rodríguez, assigned to the Homicide Division of the Criminal Investigation Body in Ponce, and prosecutor Juan Molina Pérez are in charge of the investigation.
