Saturday night ended in tragedy for two people in the Gurabo area when both lost their lives as a result of gunshot wounds outside a self-service store.

The calm of Saturday night was shattered in Gurabo when two people were shot dead in the surroundings of a convenience store located on the side of route PR-189. The bloody incident was reported to the authorities through an emergency services call around nine in the evening.
Upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement officers found two male bodies lying on the ground, both showing signs of having been struck by several bursts of gunfire. Paramedics confirmed death at the scene itself, with no possibility of medical assistance.
For now, the identity of the deceased remains confidential, pending completion of identification procedures and family notification by forensic specialists and agents from the Caguas CIC.
The incident generated shock among residents of the area, who observed the deployment of police units and forensic personnel during the hours following the attack. Investigators are gathering evidence in the area to determine what triggered the assault and to identify those responsible for the double killing.
