A man employed at a tyre business located in the Dos Bocas sector of Trujillo Alto was killed late Friday evening after being shot multiple times from a moving vehicle. The incident occurred at approximately 7:08 p.m., whilst the victim was at work.

During the attack, a customer who was waiting to be served was also injured by gunfire. She was taken urgently to a hospital, where doctors reported that she is out of danger.

Following the homicide, officers searched the deceased's residence and discovered an illegally possessed firearm along with a large sum of cash. This discovery led authorities to explore the hypothesis that the crime could be linked to drug trafficking.

The deceased was confirmed to be a Dominican citizen with a prior criminal record, although his identity has not been disclosed. The Criminal Investigation Corps of Carolina is handling the investigation.
