Former baseball pitcher and manager shot dead in San Juan
According to wapa.tv, police are investigating the murder of Alexander Bruno Pastrana, 45, which occurred yesterday at approximately 7:17 p.m. at the El Jobo shop, located on Avelino López road in Caimito, San Juan.
A 9-1-1 call alerted authorities to a serious assault. Upon arrival, officers found Bruno Pastrana on the ground with several gunshot wounds.
The victim was a former pitcher and manager in Puerto Rico's Double A Superior Baseball League.
Agent Rafael Pérez, attached to the Criminal Investigation Corps (CIC) of San Juan, along with prosecutor Félix Rivera, assumed control of the investigation.
