Agents of Puerto Rico's Uniformed Corps are examining the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman whose body was found Monday morning inside a parked vehicle in the municipality of Isabela.
The discovery was reported at approximately 6:00 a.m. in the area known as La Mina, within Bejucos neighbourhood. According to preliminary information, a person contacted the 9-1-1 Emergency System reporting a possible suicide. Upon arriving at the scene, uniformed officers discovered the woman's body inside a white Toyota Tacoma pickup truck.
The deceased presented a wound caused by a gunshot to the cranial area. To date, authorities have not revealed the victim's identity.
Officers from the Criminal Investigation Corps (CIC) travelled to the scene to conduct an investigation into the case and determine the exact cause of death.
