A woman was discovered deceased inside a pickup truck in the early hours of Monday in an area of the town of Isabela, which has triggered a police investigation.
The discovery occurred around six o'clock in the morning in the area known as La Mina, within the Bejucos neighbourhood. The initial report came through the emergency call centre 9-1-1, where what appeared to be an ongoing suicide was reported.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found the body of the woman inside a white Toyota Tacoma pickup truck. The deceased, whom authorities have not yet publicly identified, had an injury caused by a firearm projectile in the cranial area.
Officers from the Criminal Investigation Corps responded to the discovery site to collect evidence and determine what occurred.
