A corpse with bullet wounds, gagged and with burn marks was discovered in the early morning hours on Thursday in the Carraízo sector of Trujillo Alto.

During the night of Thursday, specifically at 11:47 p.m., a corpse was discovered on the public roadway of highway PR-175, within the sector known as Camino Rosa Flores, in the Carraízo district of the municipality of Trujillo Alto, according to what was published by the media outlet Metro Puerto Rico.
The discovery occurred following an alert received by the emergency services system 9-1-1, where they reported an individual with wounds produced by firearm projectiles. Upon arrival of the uniformed officers, they found the body of a male lying on the asphalt.
The deceased showed signs of a brutal attack: he had his mouth taped, his face concealed and parts of his body affected by fire. Multiple shell casings were found in the surroundings, evidence that the location served as the scene of a gunfight.
The investigation is being handled by an agent with the surname López, belonging to the Homicides unit of the CIC in Carolina, who is working jointly with the public ministry representative Carlos Peña. To date, the name of the deceased has not been revealed and no arrests related to the case have been announced.
