Man shot dead on Canóvanas highway identified as Aneudi Caraballo
A 44-year-old man was shot dead on Monday on the PR-962 highway in the Cambalache neighbourhood of Canóvanas. The Homicides Division of the CIC is investigating the case.

A man died from multiple gunshot wounds on Monday afternoon on the PR-962 highway in the Cambalache neighbourhood of Canóvanas, according to elnuevodia.com citing the Puerto Rico Police.
Officers from the Canóvanas District responded to the scene after receiving a call to the 9-1-1 Emergency System reporting gunshots in the area. Upon arriving at the scene, the uniformed officers found the man's body with multiple bullet impacts that caused his death on the spot.
The victim was identified as Aneudi Caraballo Filomeno, 44 years old and a resident of Canóvanas. The Police indicated that Caraballo Filomeno had a criminal record for violations of the Controlled Substances Act.
Agent Carlos Corchado Sierra, assigned to the Homicides Division of the Criminal Investigation Body (CIC) of Carolina, along with prosecutor Yolanda Morales, are in charge of investigating the case.
