Man murdered in Dorado during neighbour dispute; one arrested
A 51-year-old man was shot dead on Sunday in the Higuillar neighbourhood, Dorado, in a neighbour dispute. A 61-year-old suspect was arrested.

A 51-year-old man died on Sunday morning after being shot in the Higuillar neighbourhood in Dorado, in the midst of an apparent dispute between neighbours, according to elnuevodia.com.
Authorities arrested a 61-year-old man in connection with the incident, whose identity has not been publicly disclosed.
Police received a call to the 9-1-1 Emergency System at around 9:30 in the morning reporting a person wounded by gunfire. Upon arriving at the scene, officers learned that the victim, identified as Ralphie Franco Ortiz, a resident of Dorado, had been transported in a private vehicle to a hospital in the area. Ortiz died whilst receiving medical attention.
The Criminal Investigation Body (CIC) of Vega Baja assumed control of the investigation.
As of Saturday, Police had recorded 336 murders so far this year, four fewer than the 340 recorded on the same date in 2025.
