According to elnuevodia.com, officers attached to the Río Piedras precinct discovered the lifeless body of a man on the pavement of Frontera Final Park Court street at approximately 2:20 a.m. on Tuesday, whilst conducting a preventive patrol.
The victim, who was not immediately identified, was described as a man approximately 30 to 40 years old with bullet wounds. Police issued a press release with preliminary information about the discovery.
Prosecutor Naomy Ruíz and personnel from the Homicides Division of the San Juan Criminal Investigation Corps are in charge of the investigation.
The case adds to a year with high crime incidence: by Monday, the Puerto Rico Police had counted 295 murders so far in 2025, a figure identical to that recorded on the same date the previous year.
