Man dies and another injured in shooting in San Sebastián
A shooting recorded in the El Culebrina housing development in the municipality of San Sebastián, Puerto Rico, resulted in the death of one individual and injuries to a second man, according to a report from Telemundo Puerto Rico.
The armed incident took place on Flamboyán road in the mentioned residential sector. Upon arriving at the area, law enforcement officers found two males affected by gunfire. One of them lost his life as a result of the wounds received, whilst the other was assisted by medical services after suffering serious injuries.
At the scene of the incident, police officers seized a handgun, cartridges, ammunition magazines and a quantity of cannabis. These items were secured as evidence for subsequent investigative proceedings.
The authorities managed to apprehend two suspects linked to the facts: a man who was placed under formal arrest and a woman who was detained for interrogation purposes. The degree of involvement of each one in the confrontation remains unknown at this time.
The security forces continue to conduct the corresponding investigations to establish with precision what originated the violent dispute in that community in the west of the island.
