Jan J. Fuentes Guzmán, who had no criminal record, was found dead in a car in the Piñas neighbourhood. CIC agents are investigating.
27-year-old man shot dead inside vehicle in Comerío
Authorities confirmed the identity of the individual found dead on Sunday inside an automobile in the municipality of Comerío. The victim is Jan J. Fuentes Guzmán, 27 years old, who presented gunshot wounds.
The grim discovery took place in the Piñas neighbourhood, where residents alerted police to what had occurred. A relative of the deceased assisted in identifying the body. According to official information, the victim had no criminal history.
Agent Ángel Torres, belonging to the Criminal Investigation Corps based in Aibonito, is directing the investigation. The prosecution is being handled by prosecutor Nailimar Arroyo.
On a tragic day for the island, police also attended to a serious traffic accident in Toa Alta. A 72-year-old motorist crossed into the opposite lane on PR-829 and collided head-on with a motorcycle. The woman who was a passenger on the motorcycle was left in critical condition, whilst the motorcycle driver was stable. The person responsible for the crash registered 0.12 per cent alcohol in a breathalyser test.
