17-year-old Dominican youth murdered on basketball court in Bayamón
A minor was fatally shot in the El Cortijo residential neighbourhood, Bayamón. A second young man, 19 years old, was also injured.
Youth shot on El Cortijo court; another young man injured
According to telemundopr.com, a 17-year-old was murdered at approximately 10:15 p.m. on Thursday on the basketball court of the El Cortijo residential neighbourhood in Bayamón.
The victim was identified as Yandiel A. Uribe Bonilla, of Dominican nationality. His body bore gunshot wounds, and he was identified at the scene by his own mother.
Police officers responded to the location after receiving a call alerting them to gunfire in the area. In connection with the same incident, a second young man, 19 years old, was shot and taken to the Diagnostic and Treatment Centre (CDT).
The Homicide Division of the Body of Criminal Investigations (CIC) of Bayamón is investigating the circumstances of the incident.
