Law enforcement officers are studying the possibility that the murder of a worker at a tyre repair establishment in Trujillo Alto is linked to the illicit trafficking of controlled substances. The discovery of an unlicensed revolver and a substantial amount of cash at his residence prompted this line of investigation.
The fatal attack occurred at approximately 7:08 p.m. last Friday at a shop located in the Dos Bocas sector. The employee was working when occupants of a moving vehicle opened fire on him.
A woman who was waiting for service at the business also sustained gunshot wounds. Paramedics transported her to a nearby hospital, where doctors reported that her clinical condition was stable.
Police officials stated that the deceased worked at the shop and that his country of origin was the Dominican Republic. His full identity remains undisclosed at present. Sources connected to the investigation indicated that the deceased had previously faced legal proceedings.
The investigation is being handled by the Criminal Investigation Body headquartered in Carolina, according to a report by Telemundo Puerto Rico.
