A uniformed officer received a facial injury when a woman with psychiatric disorders threw a knife from a house in which she had barricaded herself, in the Levittown neighbourhood.

On Saturday afternoon, a Puerto Rico Police officer sustained an injury whilst participating in an intervention in the Levittown neighbourhood, in the municipality of Toa Baja. The situation arose when a woman locked herself inside a residence and refused to leave.
Sources from the police force indicated that the person involved had mental health conditions. Amid efforts to get her to leave the property, the woman threw a knife through a window, striking the officer in charge of the negotiation.
The police officer sustained a superficial wound to the jaw that was treated by medical personnel. The incident took place during the afternoon of the weekend in the residential area located on the north coast of the island territory.
