A man lost his life and a woman was struck by bullets from a firearm during an armed incident that occurred Friday evening in the Dos Bocas sector in the municipality of Trujillo Alto, according to police authorities.
The incident took place around 7:08 p.m. at an establishment dedicated to tyre repair, located on PR-181, at the 58.5-kilometre mark, near a bakery known as El Punto.
Initial investigations indicate that the deceased victim was the owner of the business. At the time of closing this report, his identity had not been officially released.
The second victim, a woman, was taken to a medical centre, where doctors indicated she was out of danger with a favourable prognosis.
The Criminal Investigation Corps (CIC) of Carolina took charge of the case to clarify what happened and find those responsible.
