Three dead in separate violent incidents in Santurce, Hato Rey and Guaynabo
A woman and two men lost their lives in three distinct violent incidents recorded between Friday night and Saturday morning in San Juan and Guaynabo.

Three homicides in one night shake Puerto Rico's metropolitan area
A woman between 45 and 50 years old was shot and killed in Santurce at 4:26 a.m. on Saturday, whilst two men died in separate violent incidents reported hours earlier in Hato Rey and Guaynabo, according to information provided by the Police to elnuevodia.com.
Lieutenant Idamaris Morales, director of the Homicide Division of the Criminal Investigation Corps (CIC) of San Juan, confirmed that the victim had multiple bullet wounds and that several shell casings were found at the scene. Authorities did not have witnesses at the time the information was provided.
Regarding the possible motive, Morales noted that the victim had "what appears to be controlled substances in the hand area", so investigators do not rule out that the crime is linked to drug trafficking.
Motorcyclist dies after being shot in Hato Rey
The previous evening, at 9:35 p.m. on Friday, Rey Joel Hernández Fuentes, 28 years old, was reported injured while driving a motorcycle on Avenida Barbosa, at its intersection with Calle Quisqueya, in Hato Rey.
According to Lieutenant Morales, Hernández Fuentes lost control of the vehicle and was taken to a hospital, where he died. Investigators are working to determine whether the young man received the gunshots at that crossroads or whether he was already wounded when he arrived at the location.
Man stabbed in Guaynabo; one arrested
Approximately an hour later, at 10:31 p.m., a call to the Emergency System 9-1-1 alerted authorities to a person injured with a bladed weapon on PR-837, in the Santa Rosa I neighbourhood, in Guaynabo. Upon arriving at the scene, agents found Ezequiel Gómez Rentas, 67 years old, with a neck wound.
Gómez Rentas was taken to a hospital in the area, where he died shortly after. In relation to this case, the Municipal Police of Guaynabo arrested a 52-year-old man.
All three cases remain under active investigation by authorities.
