The actor stated he was "confident and calm" as he left Santarém Court. Frederica Lima gave statements marked by contradictions in the first session.

Domestic violence trial begins in Santarém with contradictions in complainant's testimony
"I am confident and calm. I know the truth, I am innocent," Nuno Homem de Sá stated as he left Santarém Court at the end of the first session of the trial in which he faces charges of alleged domestic violence against his former partner Frederica Lima.
According to Correio da Manhã, the complaint filed by Lima concerns alleged harassment perpetrated by the actor on the A1 motorway, between Leiria and Santarém, in October 2025. The relationship between the two began in 2023 and ended in 2025, after months which the defendant himself described as "very troubled". "It was already going badly," Frederica Lima admitted in her testimony.
The session was marked by contradictions in the complainant's statements. In court, Lima accused Homem de Sá of having blocked the exit to the Leiria service area, when she was travelling in a car driven by João Garcia, her partner at the time. However, both the statements Lima gave to the GNR and those from Garcia point in another direction: neither of them exited for the service area because "there was a lot of traffic".
The defence lawyer Alexandre Guerreiro considered the session to have been clarifying. "It seems to me that it was quite clear what happened," he told Correio da Manhã.
This is already the third time that Nuno Homem de Sá has faced trial for domestic violence crimes. In the two previous trials, the actor was convicted at first instance, decisions which his defence appealed.
