A 34-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman were arrested by Lisbon PSP for robbing a restaurant located at Parque das Nações. Footage captured by the commercial establishment's CCTV system was decisive in identifying and locating the two suspects.
The theft occurred on a Saturday, after the restaurant had closed. The pair broke the storefront window of the commercial space, eventually making off with the money in the cash register and several bottles of wine. The total damage caused to the establishment came to 1,410 euros, according to PSP.
The officers managed to quickly confirm authorship of the crime through the security camera recordings. Subsequently, they located and arrested the couple, seizing 30 euros and a cutting tool.
Before the court, precautionary measures were imposed on the two detainees: they were prohibited from contacting each other and required to undergo treatment for drug dependence.
