The criminal group deliberately rammed the victims' vehicle at a roundabout to force the vehicle to stop. After the collision, the five individuals approached the couple, displayed the firearm and kept them under kidnapping whilst taking possession of the car.
According to Correio da Manhã, the robbers' intention was not limited to stealing the car. The group also intended to extort money from the couple, who a few months ago manage an entertainment establishment in the municipality of Golegã.
