Intoxicated driver without licence attempts to run over PSP officer in Lisbon
A 26-year-old man was detained after attempting to run over a police officer on Avenida de Ceuta and crashed on the Eixo Norte-Sul with 1.54 g/l of alcohol in his blood.

A 26-year-old man was detained by the PSP in Lisbon after, according to tvi.iol.pt, attempting to run over an officer during a traffic operation on Avenida de Ceuta at around eight in the morning.
Officers ordered the vehicle to stop, but the driver did not comply with the order and allegedly drove the vehicle in the direction of one of the police officers present at the operation. The PSP immediately initiated a pursuit.
The car ended up crashing on the Eixo Norte-Sul, heading south to north, at the exit towards Telheiras. Four occupants, aged between 21 and 46, were inside the vehicle. Two were injured and received medical assistance at Santa Maria Hospital.
The driver was detained at the scene. The breathalyser test revealed a blood alcohol level of 1.54 grammes of alcohol per litre of blood. The suspect did not hold a valid driving licence.
He is charged with the offences of resistance and coercion of an official, dangerous driving, driving without a valid licence, driving under the influence of alcohol, property damage and assault by negligence.
