Two men arrested for murder linked to disturbances in Cascais and Amadora
The Judicial Police arrested two suspects for murder, completed and attempted, in a chain of violence that began at a terrace in Carcavelos in June 2025.

Series of firearms crimes linked to disturbances in Carcavelos results in two arrests
Google News PT — Crime reports that three men aged between 18 and 21 years were arrested by the Judicial Police, through the Directorate of Lisbon and Vale do Tejo, strongly suspected of committing crimes of murder — attempted and completed — using firearms, which occurred in three distinct but interconnected episodes.
The starting point dates back to 29 June of last year, at a terrace on Carcavelos beach. Following a disturbance, one of the suspects fired several times with a firearm, injuring two people. He was arrested in early July and, after his first court hearing, was remanded in custody. In July of this year, he was sentenced to three years and six months in prison, suspended in its execution, for the crimes of qualified attempted murder and unlawful possession of a firearm.
This initial episode triggered two new situations of violence, both in the city of Amadora. On 4 April, in retaliation, a witness to the events that occurred in Carcavelos was struck by a firearm shot to the abdominal region, requiring hospital treatment.
On 21 May, the father of that witness, a 43-year-old man, was shot three times and subsequently died in a hospital unit as a result of the severity of his injuries.
In all cases, the victims were known to the suspects. The investigations are being directed by the Public Ministry of the DIAP of Cascais and Amadora.
