The Judicial Police arrested two brothers on Wednesday suspected of shooting dead a 30-year-old man in the Serafina neighbourhood in Campolide, Lisbon, according to information obtained by Correio da Manhã.
The victim, identified as Adelton Geny, was struck by two bullets after the pair allegedly fired four times in his direction.
The two suspects are described as old acquaintances of the authorities in the area of Lisbon where the crime took place and reside approximately one kilometre from the Serafina neighbourhood. The weapon used in the homicide was a 6.35 mm calibre pistol.
Ballistic examinations are expected to determine whether the weapon has been used in other crimes and whether it was in a legal condition. The two arrested men await the application of coercive measures.
