Two individuals, aged 30 and 31, have been arrested by the Judicial Police in Braga, suspected of a series of robberies and hijackings. The incidents occurred in Vila Nova de Famalicão and netted the criminals just 21 euros in total. The news was reported by Correio da Manhã.

The episodes took place on 11 March in the early hours. A woman was the first victim. The assailants approached her at a cash machine and forced her to drive to another terminal, where, intimidated, she withdrew 20 euros.

Afterwards, the criminals forced the woman to drive to a neighbourhood known for drug trafficking. One of the individuals remained in the vehicle to watch her, while the other got out to buy drugs. The victim was released near a commercial establishment, close to her home.

Shortly afterwards, in the same area, the pair approached two other people. Inside the vehicle, they threatened them with a razor blade and managed to steal just one euro. The victims fled at the first opportunity they had.

The two suspects will be taken to the Public Prosecution Office in Guimarães for a decision on coercive measures.
