The Portalegre Territorial Command of the Guarda Nacional Republicana detained a 20-year-old on Monday for domestic violence in Sousel, in the district of Portalegre, according to noticiasaominuto.com.
The detention occurred after soldiers from the Sousel Territorial Post responded to a report of domestic violence. "Following a report of domestic violence, the soldiers immediately travelled to the location, where they detained the individual in flagrante delicto, inside the residence, at the moment he was making threats to the victim using a white weapon," the GNR stated in a communiqué.
The suspect was constituted as an accused and the facts referred to the Fronteira Judicial Court, also in the district of Portalegre.
