A group of around 13 individuals robbed five people in Águeda on Friday night, stealing approximately 2,500 euros and three mobile phones. The victims were assaulted with batons and gunshots were heard.

Approximately thirteen individuals carried out a street robbery in Águeda on Friday night, taking approximately 2,500 euros and three mobile phones from five victims. The criminals assaulted the targets with sticks and there is suspicion that they used a firearm during the crime.
The alert was given to authorities at around 23:30, when the GNR in Águeda received information about a robbery on Avenida Dr. Pedro Homem de Mello. According to witnesses, two shots were heard during the incident.
The robbers fled the scene in three vehicles. One of the vehicles was reportedly a white BMW, according to descriptions from those who witnessed the events.
The Judicial Police of Aveiro was called to the scene and is investigating the case, seeking to identify and locate the suspects.
