28-year-old man detained with 27 doses of cocaine in Óbidos by GNR
The GNR detained a 28-year-old man in Óbidos on suspicion of drug trafficking. 27 doses of cocaine, 455 euros and a mobile phone were seized.
Detention for drug trafficking in Óbidos following road inspection
The jornaldeleiria.pt reports that a 28-year-old man was detained by the Territorial Post of Caldas da Rainha of the GNR on 31 May, in the municipality of Óbidos, on suspicion of drug trafficking.
The detention took place in the context of a road inspection operation carried out by officers of the GNR Territorial Command of Leiria, according to an official statement.
"During police procedures, a security search of the suspect was carried out and a brief search of the vehicle," the statement states. Following these procedures, 27 doses of cocaine, 455 euros in cash and a mobile phone were seized.
The detainee was made a defendant and the facts were referred to the Judicial Court of Caldas da Rainha. The suspect was also being investigated in the context of a domestic violence case in Castelo Branco.
