According to reports from jornalacores9.pt, the PSP arrested a 54-year-old man in Vila das Capelas, on the island of São Miguel, in the Azores, on suspicion of aggravated theft.
According to a police statement, investigations carried out made it possible to recover and seize 26 pieces of gold and silver, suspected of having been stolen from inside a dwelling in the same locality.
The objects were located at a precious metals buying and selling establishment, where they had been sold for one thousand euros. The police estimate, however, that the commercial value of the pieces is five thousand euros.
