A 59-year-old individual was apprehended by the Judicial Police in the Santarém region, accused of sexually abusing his 17-year-old granddaughter. The victim suffers from near-total incapacity.
The crime was discovered in a singular manner: the attacker's partner was outside the country, more than two thousand kilometres away, and witnessed the scene live through an application installed on her mobile phone. The woman was visiting a daughter abroad when she witnessed the abuse.
A report was made immediately to the authorities. Within hours, the PJ proceeded to arrest the suspect.
