Arrested for extortion using intimate content obtained without consent
A 44-year-old man was arrested by the GNR in Vila Franca de Xira, accused of extortion, harassment and invasion of privacy, reports Correio da Manhã.
According to the authorities, the suspect harassed the victim and coerced them into repeatedly handing over money, under threat of disclosing personal and intimate content that he had obtained without their consent.
At the time of arrest, €5,000 in cash and a mobile phone were seized. The suspect was remanded in custody.
