According to Correio da Manhã, a 20-year-old man was detained by the National Republican Guard (GNR) for threatening his grandmother with a bladed weapon in Sousel, in the district of Portalegre. The detention occurred on Monday, following a report received by officers of the Sousel Territorial Post.
The Portalegre Territorial Command stated in an official note that the officers immediately proceeded to the location after the report. "Following a report of domestic violence situations, the officers immediately proceeded to the location, where they detained the individual in flagrante delicto, inside the residence, at the moment he was making threats to the victim using a bladed weapon," the GNR stated.
The suspect was constituted as an accused party and the facts were referred to the Frontier Judicial Court, also in the district of Portalegre.
