A 20-year-old was remanded in custody after being brought before the criminal instruction court in Aveiro by the GNR in Águeda, suspected of drug trafficking in the Albergaria-a-Velha area, reported Correio da Manhã.
The detention resulted from investigative actions carried out by the Investigation Unit of the GNR in Águeda, as part of an investigation into crimes of drug trafficking, robbery and offences against physical integrity. During the execution of a domestic search warrant, the officers seized 260 doses of hashish/resin and 500 euros in cash. A mobile phone that had been stolen was also recovered.
Following the conclusion of the first judicial interrogation, the detainee was taken by the GNR in Águeda to the prison establishment in Aveiro, where he began serving the precautionary measures imposed.
