A 20-year-old man was arrested by the PSP in Évora, suspected of physical and psychological abuse towards his 23-year-old ex-partner following their separation.

As reported by Google News PT — Crime (pt), a 20-year-old man was arrested in Évora by the PSP, charged with the crime of aggravated domestic violence against a woman — his 23-year-old ex-partner.
According to a statement published on the website of the Regional Public Prosecutor's Office of Évora, the Public Prosecutor indicated that the suspect had initiated a campaign of harassment and control over the victim following their separation, which occurred in November of last year. The behaviours included unwanted contact through social media and other means of communication, as well as physical and psychological abuse.
Arrest warrants were issued outside of flagrante delicto, executed by the PSP last Thursday. The following day, the suspect was brought before a judicial interrogation hearing.
The court applied several coercive measures: total distance from the victim, monitored by remote technical monitoring means; prohibition of any type of contact; obligation to remain outside a radius of 500 metres from the victim; and subjection to monitoring and treatment in the area of psychology.
