Youth arrested in Vila Franca de Xira with thousands of hashish doses bearing 'El Chapo' image
An 18-year-old boy was arrested by PSP in Vila Franca de Xira in possession of more than 1,500 doses of hashish. Part of the seized drug bore stickers with a photograph of Joaquín Guzmán, known as 'El Chapo', one of Mexico's most notorious drug traffickers.

An 18-year-old adolescent was apprehended by PSP officers in an area of Vila Franca de Xira known for illicit drug trafficking. The youth was carrying dozens of doses of hashish and a small quantity of cocaine, along with cash believed to have come from drug sales.
During the stop, carried out last Tuesday, police found the suspect with approximately 22 doses of hashish. Subsequently, a search of the young man's residence was conducted, where eight blocks of the same substance were discovered, enough to produce almost 1,500 individual doses. At the home, officers also seized a canister of nitrous oxide (laughing gas), more money and various items associated with the narcotics business.
The most unusual aspect of the seizure concerns the drug packaging. All the hashish blocks were decorated with stickers displaying the face of Joaquín Guzmán, also known as 'El Chapo'. The 69-year-old Mexican drug trafficker is currently serving a life sentence in a United States correctional facility and is regarded as one of the most prominent figures in international drug trafficking over recent decades.
The arrested individual was brought before the court for the imposition of precautionary measures.
