Mother and son detained in Odemira for abuse of 90-year-old woman
A 57-year-old woman and her son, 24, were detained in Odemira for abuse and psychological violence against a 90-year-old woman with whom they lived.

A 57-year-old woman and her son, 24, were detained in the municipality of Odemira on suspicion of physical abuse and psychological violence against a 90-year-old woman with whom they shared the same residence, according to reports by Correio da Manhã.
The Guarda Nacional Republicana (GNR) confirmed that the victim is the defendant's mother-in-law and the young man's grandmother. The operation was supported by military personnel from the Odemira Territorial Detachment.
Following their detention, the two suspects were brought before the court for the application of protective measures. The judge ordered the immediate removal of mother and son from the elderly woman's residence, prohibited any form of contact with the victim and prevented them from approaching the 90-year-old woman within a radius of 500 metres.
