The Judicial Police detained two airport workers suspected of introducing cocaine into Europe via flights from Latin America. 110 kg of drugs and 200,000 euros were seized.

The Judicial Police detained two men as part of Operation Falcon, carried out in Lisbon, according to policiajudiciaria.pt. The suspects, Portuguese citizens aged 48 and 46, worked for service provider companies at Humberto Delgado Airport.
The two defendants are suspected of being part of a criminal organisation dedicated to introducing large quantities of cocaine into the European continent through commercial flights from Latin America.
The operation, conducted by the National Unit for Combating Drug Trafficking (UNCTE), resulted in the seizure of approximately 110 kilograms of cocaine, approximately 200,000 euros in cash, various vehicles and other objects and documents of probative interest.
The two detainees were brought before their first judicial interrogation before the competent judicial authority for the application of a coercive measure. The investigation is being conducted by the Lisbon DIAP.
