Operation Falcon: two Lisbon airport staff detained for cocaine trafficking
The Judicial Police detained two airport workers suspected of being part of a cocaine trafficking network from Latin America. 110 kg of drugs and 200,000 euros were seized.

The Judicial Police detained, on Friday, two workers from service companies operating at Lisbon airport, suspected of illicit drug trafficking, according to dnoticias.pt.
The detainees are aged 48 and 46 and are suspected of being part of a criminal network dedicated to introducing cocaine into the European continent by air, through commercial flights originating from Latin America.
Under Operation Falcon, conducted by the National Unit for Combating Drug Trafficking (UNCTE) of the Judicial Police, approximately 110 kilograms of cocaine, roughly 200,000 euros in cash, several vehicles and other objects and documents relating to the commission of the crime were seized.
The two suspects were brought before a judge for a preliminary hearing for the application of precautionary measures. The investigation is proceeding at the Lisbon Public Ministry's Criminal Investigation Department.
