PJ arrests woman with 18 kg of cannabis at Lisbon Airport
A 48-year-old woman was arrested at Humberto Delgado Airport with 18 kilogrammes of cannabis transported from an Asian country. The drug would allow the preparation of at least 7,100 individual doses.

The Polícia Judiciária (criminal police) arrested a 48-year-old woman of foreign nationality at Humberto Delgado Airport in Lisbon on suspicion of drug trafficking. According to Correio da Manhã, the suspect was transporting 18 kilogrammes of cannabis hidden in her luggage, originating from an Asian country.
The PJ stated that, if the drug had reached the illicit distribution networks, it would have been sufficient to prepare at least 7,100 individual doses.
The arrest took place as part of regular police operations against drug trafficking and had the collaboration of the Tax and Customs Authority.
The arrested woman will be brought before a court to be questioned by a judge, who will decide on the coercive measures to be applied.
