PJ continues to use goods seized from Xuxas after 2022 court order

The Criminal Police maintains in use sofas, televisions and gymnasium equipment seized from Rúben Oliveira, known as Xuxas, according to reporting by CNN Portugal. A 2022 court order deemed void the decision of then-director Luís Neves, who had assigned operational utility to these goods.

The PJ stated it did not know whether it had ever been notified of this court decision, leaving unanswered central questions about the management of the seized goods.

Journalist Sandra Felgueiras, who has been following the case, stated: "We have hit on critical points that call into question the credibility of the PJ and there are no answers."

Xuxas's defence team is meanwhile preparing a formal audit request to establish the current location of the goods and how they are being used.
