Mobile phone footage captured and shared on social media shows a shooting incident recorded on 21 June in the Ameixoeira social housing district in the northern zone of the Portuguese capital. The incident resulted in two injured victims, according to Correio da Manhã.
The armed confrontation took place on Rua Fernando Gusmão, around 11:20 in the morning. The PSP was alerted to an incident of domestic violence involving the use of a firearm. In the recordings, at least five men can be observed, with one wielding a shotgun-type rifle, according to a police source cited by the newspaper.
In the footage, multiple shots are audible, although it is not possible to see any injured persons or material damage.
When police vehicles arrived at the scene, the participants in the disorder had already left the area in a vehicle. The PSP referred the case to the Public Prosecutor's Office and the Judicial Police, which assumed the investigation owing to the criminal nature of the use of firearms.
