Armed confrontation outside the Armazém 18 nightclub in Odivelas resulted in at least one injured person in the early hours of Sunday. A group of six to eight individuals attempted to force entry into the establishment.

At least one person was injured during an armed confrontation outside the Armazém 18 nightclub in Odivelas in the early hours of Sunday.
The gunshots were recorded at around 3.40 a.m. Witnesses indicated that between half a dozen and eight suspects attempted to force their way into the nightclub. According to information gathered by Correio da Manhã, the assailants were equipped with knives and pistols.
At the time, more than two hundred customers were waiting outside. The assault on the door triggered a brawl which escalated into gunfire.
One victim sustained injuries. When the PSP arrived, the injured person had already been taken to hospital.
Police officers searched the premises, however they did not seize any pistol. Later, a man was detained for carrying a knife. Public security is continuing the investigation to clarify what happened and identify all those involved.
