Shooting in Cacém leaves victim injured and dozens of shell casings on public road
A shooting on Avenida dos Bons Amigos in Cacém caused panic and damage to several vehicles. The PSP collected approximately 30 shell casings and the investigation was handed over to the Judicial Police.
Shooting in broad daylight causes panic in Cacém
Avenida dos Bons Amigos in Cacém was the scene of a shooting in the middle of a public street, according to localnoticias.pt. Two men fired several times, damaging at least three parked vehicles in the area and scattering dozens of shell casings on the ground.
The Public Security Police (PSP) responded quickly to the incident and collected approximately 30 nine-millimetre ammunition casings at the scene. One victim was struck in the head. The case was immediately reported to the Judicial Police, which was tasked with the investigation.
The two suspects fled the scene on foot before the authorities arrived and remain at large. The Judicial Police have already begun the necessary steps to determine the circumstances and motivation behind the shooting in an area usually known for being peaceful.
The local community awaits clarification on the incident.
