A man was arrested in flagrante delicto on Saturday in Sintra by PSP agents from the local Division. The individual was riding a motorcycle and was intercepted during a road inspection operation.
During the search of the vehicle and the suspect, police officers discovered that the man was carrying 149.94 grammes of cannabis. In addition to the narcotic substance, the detainee possessed €3,155 in cash, a sum that authorities believe came from illegal drug trafficking.
The defendant was taken to the cells of the PSP Metropolitan Command, located in Moscavide, where he spent the night before being taken to court. The investigating judge decided to apply the measure of pre-trial detention.
