The Judicial Police have formalised the detention of three citizens suspected of involvement in a shooting that occurred in Lisbon's city centre on 10 August, which resulted in injury to a 40-year-old Swedish citizen, according to policiajudiciaria.pt. The victim was struck by a gunshot to the thoracic region and transported to a hospital unit.

Following investigation procedures conducted by the Lisbon and Vale do Tejo Directorate, it was possible to identify the three suspects. A police operation was then launched in the Lisbon and Aveiro regions, during which several residential searches were carried out.

The suspects, aged between 21 and 32 years old, voluntarily presented themselves at the Judicial Police offices after learning that they were being sought by the authorities, and were detained in the early evening.

The three detainees will be brought for their first judicial interrogation at the Campus de Justiça. The inquiry is being overseen by the services of the Public Ministry at the Lisbon DIAP.
