Asunción: "creative space" raided for micro-trafficking and its operator detained
According to latribuna.com.py, a venue in the Silvio Pettirossi neighbourhood of Asunción that operated under the guise of a "creative space" functioned in reality as a distribution and consumption point for synthetic drugs and marijuana. The premises had already been raided for the same reason in 2019.
The raid was headed by prosecutor Martín Morínigo and executed by the SENAD's Urban Operations Directorate. During the operation, officers found several young people gathered at the location to consume and purchase narcotics.
David Fernando Halles Ayala was arrested, who has a record of violating Law 1.340/88. After regaining his liberty following the 2019 intervention, Halles resumed the micro-trafficking scheme at the same property.
Among the evidence seized were 98 grams of marijuana, 28 MDMA tablets (ecstasy) and 1.2 grams of ketamine powder. Also confiscated were 13 tablets of alleged caffeine, four empty ketamine bottles, two precision scales, cash of various denominations and a mobile telephone.
The detained person was placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry to continue with the corresponding jurisdictional proceedings.
