Rodrigo Ariel Álvarez Sanguina, aged 22, threatened uniformed officers from the 8th Police Station in the San Antonio neighbourhood of Concepción with death after being apprehended for disturbing public peace, according to ultimahora.com.
According to the police report, the young man was causing disturbances in public areas and refused to leave or identify himself to the officers. At the time of detention, he reacted with violence: he pushed one of the officers and made threats in Guaraní, accusing an officer of hitting him and warning that he would attack him with a machete.

The young man was subdued and taken to the police station. During the operation, a red Star brand motorcycle without a licence plate was also seized.
A video of the incident shows the detainee in an apparent state of intoxication engaging in verbal violence against the uniformed officers. Álvarez Sanguina was placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry.
