All-out Trial in Paraguay: over 2,000 chats link Marset to murder and drug trafficking

Marset's encrypted chats exposed in Paraguay's oral trial
The Public Prosecutor's Office of Paraguay introduced over 2,000 encrypted messages as evidence during the oral trial of the "A Ultranza" case, according to reporting by sanjoseahora.com.uy. The messages are attributed to Uruguayan drug trafficker Sebastián Marset and Miguel Ángel Insfrán, alias "Tío Rico", and form part of the case file against 17 defendants.
Among the conversations presented is a message from 14 September 2020 in which Marset consulted Insfrán about methods to make the body of a murdered person disappear.
The chats also record the coordination of the transfer of tonnes of drugs between Bolivia, Paraguay, Uruguay and Europe. The transcriptions also include references to alleged participation of police officers and Paraguay's National Anti-Drug Secretariat in the investigated structure.
The "A Ultranza" case encompasses a network linked to international drug trafficking. The oral trial, bringing together 17 defendants, is being conducted in Paraguayan territory.
