Actor Toma Cuzin detained in Teleorman following accident whilst driving with suspended licence

Toma Cuzin, a 49-year-old actor known for playing the character Firicel in the television series "Las Fierbinți", was detained by police in Teleorman following a traffic accident in Peretu commune, according to Cotidianul.ro.
The incident took place last night on the Alexandria–Roșiori de Vede route. According to police, Cuzin allegedly failed to maintain a safe distance from the vehicle in front and collided with it. The accident resulted only in material damage.
According to sources cited by Observator News, the actor allegedly drove with a suspended licence since May of last year. Testing with a DrugTest device indicated the absence of alcohol in his system, but Cuzin was taken to a medical facility for the collection of biological samples, in accordance with legal procedures.
Following the tests administered, police ordered the actor's detention.
Authorities have not publicly communicated additional details about the circumstances of the accident or about the results of the biological analyses, which are to confirm or refute the preliminary testing. The case has been taken over by the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Court of Roșiori de Vede.
